Where does the time go? We can’t believe it was just Labor Day weekend, only 4 months left in 2010! The last month here at Darby Comm has been crazy, beginning with the hustle and bustle of a very active, re-energized summer OR trade show. The whole Darby Comm team was in attendance along with our wonderful clients Vasque footwear, Eagles Nest Outfitters, Headsweats, Goodhew socks, and Alite Designs. What a collection of new products for spring 2011, new shoes, socks, hammocks, hats and camping necessities were in abundance!

 
From OR, our beloved Mandy stayed out West for a relaxing vacation in the mountains while Angie and I jaunted back to Asheville to prep for the epic Lifetime Fitness Leadville Trail 100 races, where we represented out client, Vasque. Just 5 days after we returned from OR, Angie and I flew out for the 100 mile mountain bike race in Leadville where we watched the acclaimed cyclist, Levi Leiphemer, crush Lance Armstrong’s course record by 12 minutes. The following weekend, Mandy and I returned to Leadville where Vasque trail team athletes, Duncan Callahan and Dan Dehlin raced 100 miles on foot. Callahan won the grueling race for the second time and set a personal record and Dehlin finished his first 100 mile race in under 24 hours. We were so proud to be there and watch both of our athletes cross the finish line!

 
With August in the record books as the busiest month ever, we are gearing up for more good times. Next on our plate, sharing with you the techniques and principals of ChiRunning® and  ChiWalking® as we welcome to the Darby Comm family our new client, ChiLiving.
