PROBAR to Debut FRUITION® at Expo West

Salt Lake City, Utah – March 2, 2009 – PROBAR, maker of delicious, sustainably produced, whole foods meal-replacement bars, announces today the debut of Fruition, a line of flavorful snack bars made with organic ingredients. The Fruition collection, which includes Strawberry and Blueberry flavors, will be available on retailers’ shelves this spring. 

“The key to the Fruition bars is big, bold flavor,” says PROBARs founder, Art Eggertsen. “That flavor comes from the fruit, which is organically grown, picked fresh, and blended with other ingredients to create the bar. We are making a snack size bar so people have another option when they have a PROBAR craving. The PROBAR is a meal, while the FRUITION bar is a snack,” notes Eggertsen.  

With the creation of FRUITION, PROBAR increased flavor, lessened the amount of sugar and calories, lessened the fat, without sacrificing nutrition. “We truly believe we’ve redefined the fruit bar. They are that good,” says PROBAR’s product development manager, Matt Jimenez.  

Each Fruition bar is low in sugar, 180 calories or less, and weighs in at an easy-to-carry 1.5 ounces. Each bar also includes more than 26 grams of fruit, as well as organic rolled oats and white and black chia seeds.   

PROBAR will debut the FRUITION bar during the Expo West Trade Show, March 6 – 8th in Anaheim, California.
