This past weekend Molly Milroy, a member of the Darby Communications Team, had the opportunity to attend the 5th Annual Triple Lakes Trail Race Half Marathon, Marathon, and 40 mile race in Greensboro, NC. Vasque athlete, Shiloh Mielke, came 1st in the half-marathon with a time of 1:33:10!

“I felt great and took the lead about 10 minutes into the race,” says Mielke. “Around mile 8 I noticed second place gaining momentum so I put in a surge and pushed hard to the finish.”

The course was almost all trail, as it is run on Greensboro’s Watershed trail system.  The terrain was rocky, rooty and slightly treacherous. Fallen leaves concealed rocks, roots, sticks, and holes and many participants came off the trail muddy and scraped up, yet with big smiles on their faces!

Vasque decided to partner with Triple Lakes because they have donated over $30,000 to several local charities and park systems through specialty running and walking store, Off ‘n Running.
