Vasque Partners with Soles4Souls on Haitian Relief Efforts

Red Wing, MN – Jan 14, 2010 – Deeply saddened by the news out of Haiti, Vasque footwear announces today that they are donating almost a thousand pairs of shoes to the non-profit Soles4Souls for immediate transport to Haiti. Soles4Souls is partnering with churches, non-profits and companies like Vasque in sending 30 container loads of emergency relief supplies to the devastated country.

Multinational Trail Team Successful at the Ultra-Trail du Mont Blanc; Krissy Moehl Takes First Among Women, Breaks Record

Red Wing, MN – Sept. 1, 2009 – Returning competitor and Vasque-sponsored trail athlete, Krissy Moehl, of Seattle, WA and Bend, OR, set a female course record as she placed first among women and 11th overall at the North Face Ultra-Trail du Mont Blanc this past weekend. The renowned race takes runners on a 166-k course that crosses through France, Italy and Switzerland.

Vasque Athlete Duncan Callahan Shatters Grand Teton 50M Race Record

Red Wing, MN – Sept. 8, 2009 – Vasque athlete, Duncan Callahan continues his epic season with a victory and new course record of 7:33 at the Grand Teton 50 mile trail race this past Labor Day weekend at Grand Targhee Ski area in Alta, Wy. This win is the third win of the season and a second course record for Callahan who is just coming off a third place finish at the Leadville Trail 100 only two weeks ago. Callahan began the weekend by presenting an ultra running clinic at the renowned retailer Skinny Skis, a Vasque dealer located in Jackson, WY.

Vasque Posts Strong Results at Leadville Marathon

Red Wing, MN – July 14, 2009 – Outdoor footwear manufacturer Vasque is pleased to announce impressive finishes by the company’s Colorado-based athletes last weekend at the Leadville Trail Marathon. Returning 2008 Leadville 100-mile champion, Duncan Callahan, of Gunnison, finished the race in third with a competitive time of 3:49:47. Close behind Callahan finishing fifth place with a time of 3:58:57, was Boulder-based and nationally acclaimed trail marathoner, Bryan Dayton, who won last year’s Leadville Heavy ½ Marathon.
